Folk Singers list
Below is a complete list of all the Folk Singers and Musicians on file at Collections. There are a few not strictly folkies and a few on the production side, but they are all together on our other web site accessible via the links or by putting FOLK SINGER in the keyword space at the bottom of this page.
New singers are unlikely to be added to the list though more from our analogue files will go on-line from time to time.
Many of these pictures were shot for Topic or Transatlantic record companies during the 1960s - and are still surprisingly (and gratifyingly) popular for re-issues and nostalgic articles and TV programmes. They are entirely the work of Brian Shuel. Having been shot in those far-off days when colour was an expensive luxury, and anyway Brian much preferrd to work that way, the majority of pictures are in black & white. He stopped photographing folk singers around 1970 for no other reason than he moved on to other things...
