A few last words

Too much Black and White?

Our website is set up in such a way that the scans most recently loaded come up first when you search. It so happens that thousands of black and white pictures have been put on line in the last couple of years, with the result that people often have to wade through hundreds of them on their way to the colour they are looking for and become convinced we don’t actually have any.

The trick is to go to the page number bar at the top or bottom and click on the arrow [>>] on the right. This will take you to the end of our supply. Then work back.

OK, we know you know that. But not everyone does!

Cullompton

A few years ago a lad-mag asked us for pictures of road signs to places with rude names. A suggested list was provided with many names far too rude for a family website - though we have to admit that we did have several of them. However we were puzzled to see among them ‘Cullompton’ This gave rise to much speculation in the office. What could it possibly mean?

In the end we concluded it must be a euphemism for you know what, as in “Aar, she were right buxom. Oi took ’er round back of ’aystack and give ’er a good Cullompton”!
