We at Collections go to some trouble to make sure the keywords and captions on our pictures are correct, even if some of the contributors have some rather individual ideas about grammar, capitals and so on. While researching a picture of Seaton Cliffs in Devon (there is a Seaton and a Seatown in Devon, I wanted to be sure we had the right one!). I looked it up on a search engine and got a hit that gave me the answer I needed, but it was being used to illustrate an article on the web site of a national newspaper about a mishap on the cliff railway in Scarborough! Why do we bother to take such care if the idiots who put these things together can’t be bothered to find a picture from the same town, let alone the same county! They were out by over 300 miles.
